High Water Mark Vol I
The High Water Mark vol I, a novel about Dean Spalding and his long strange trip along the Camino de Santiago, also known by the English name Way of St. James (among others). Set in 1978 Spain only a few years after the death of the fascist Franco Dean is chronicling the country’s struggle with its new identity for publication and surreptitiously for the German American Embassy. Love, laughs, danger, and intrigue are never far from Dean on the trail. After a grim tumble Dean preservers and limps most of the trail with a severely sprained ankle while being trailed by a mysterious man. The surprising final chapter is worth the long hike.

The Rhythm of the Stone – Collateral Damage. The short story is set in Boulder and Denver CO a couple of months after 9/11/2001 terrorist attacks on New York, the Pentagon and in the sky over Pennsylvania. Told in the first person, it is a novelette about a horrific crash on the highway between the two Colorado towns. It is a metaphor of those troubling times. Through all this carnage the protagonist manages to find love. It is a story of hope in a time of uncertainty and awful reality.

Giving it Another Go
As I mentioned in my last bit of news I am giving this blog another go. I do not have a click counter so I really have no idea if anyone is visiting. Where Have You Been?!
Obviously it has been quite a while since I updated this blog and that’s a no no for generating traffic. I have been involved in several other projects over the past months one of which is a wood working business. You can see the fruits of my labors here: Woodworks - http://jamesbird4.wix.com/woodworks.
I have also been busy writing and building a platform. I wasn’t getting much feedback from this blog so I turned my focus on social media. For now I will leave the old content up and slowly replace it over the coming months. You can find the older posts on the sub menu.
